  1. Thank you so much for posting the interview with Jesse!! It was so insightful!!!!!!!! I took notes because there were so many things I want to make sure I do that Jesse suggested especially a running tally of things I am currently doing especially volunteer stuff or community participation so I do not forget when it comes time for the application. This will be a good way of keeping track of everything so I won’t have to rack my brain as much! I think all of the advice was great and the questions you (David) asked were dead on to the things I always like to know and get advice on! Awesome interview!!! Thanks again!!!!!!!! :)

    Respectfully,
    Cassie Makowski

  2. @Cassie: You are so welcome! I’m glad that you got so much value from the interview. Now all you have to do is take massive, immediate ACTION. :-)

  3. Good morning Dave,
I thought I should comment on this interview. I really appreciate your effort and committment towards helping others in becoming a physician assistant. I have completed my application through CASPA and I am waiting so patiently to hear from the schools. I must thank you and Cassie for the wonderful interview.

    Thanks

  4. @Emeka: I am so glad that you enjoyed the interview. Good luck and I hope that you hear from your “dream school(s) real soon.

  5. Hi Coach Dave! Thank you so much for your wonderful tips. I am actively pursuing to become a PA some day. Expect to see me all over your site! Thanks again- Cris

  6. Thank you Dave!! I’ve listened to your interviews and watched quite a few of your you tube videos, all of which were very helpful in helping me prepare for my interview! Thanks for your insight and all of your great suggestions. I just had an interview last Tues. for my top school of choice and am waiting to hear back! p.s. I also used the tip on wearing a shirt with a color that stands out and was the only interviewee that wasn’t wearing the typical black/white outfit!

    Blessings :)

  7. @Ingrid C: You are welcome! Way to shake things up at the interview! I know you did great. Best of luck to ya. Be sure to let us know how things turn out.

  8. Dave, I really enjoy your website along with your 7 mistake videos! I am currently in the process of applying to PA school and the tips you provided have been really helpful. Thank you for your help and for releasing the interview you had with Jesse!

  9. I just found out I have an interview next month, and although I’ve been through the admissions process before,I still didn’t feel prepared. Listening to this interview was extremely helpful and put my mind at ease. Thank you so much!

  10. @Erin–Glad to be of service to you and others. Best of luck with your interview. Keep us posted on how it goes.

  11. Dave! Jesse! You are awesome! I really enjoyed the interview. You, guys, made me feel so much better before my ipcoming interview. Plus, Dave, the way you conversed to your interviewee. So nice! It did in a way sound like a real PA school interview, but you made Jesse feel so relaxed and comfortable. I hope my interviewers on the committee tomorrow are as nice and understanding as you are. This is just the key to everything, isn’t it? Just be nice, and it will make it all better. I also wanted to say that I have watched all of your videos on youtube. They are super! And Jesses is right: yeah, preparation is important, yeah, you should probably know your stuff if you want to get into school of your top chioice, yeah, you should know the year and the name of the university the first PA program was established. Just read up on that. Just know what you are talking about, just be familiar with your future profession. You don’t want to memorize the wikipedia definition of a Physician Assistant and what their core competencies are. It just sound way to fake. I watched some future MDs talk on youtube trying to get to med schools. Just didn’t sound real to me. You want to be a real person, you wanna be a real YOU, you want the committe to know who YOU really are and what your core competencies are and whether they correlate to the ones of a real PA! Thanks for reading. Thanks Dave! Thanks Jesse! Good luck to all of us! Elena

  12. Elena,

  14. Hi Dave,
I have just watched a bunch of your videos on interviewing and they have been SO helpful. I can only hope that I’ll get an interviewer who is as friendly as you! I’ve got my fingers crossed…

  15. Dave!!! You are the answer to my prayers!!!! I still have one more pre-req (Microbiology) to complete before I can apply for the PA program. I’ve been a Pharmacy technician & med tech at an assistant living for 5 years. Is this enough experience to qualify for the program? I also bought the book ” Getting into PA school 3rd edition by Andrew J. Ridican” I consider it my bible! Please let me know what my chances are with working at an assisted living dementia facility.

    Thank you.

    You are the best!
